Maison Bent Launches Queen Nanny Print Capsule Collection in Support of UN Women UK

On 30th July 2026, Maison Bent celebrated six years of the British-fashion house with the launch of the Queen Nanny Print Capsule Collection at the Maison Bent Summer Salon at 34 Bloomsbury in London. The collection honours the legacy of Queen Nanny of the Maroons while supporting UN Women UK’s work to advance gender equality and empower women and girls.

Founded in London, Maison Bent creates conscious, seasonless collections inspired by Caribbean heritage, cultural storytelling and traditional craftsmanship. Through considered design, small-batch production and responsible sourcing, Maison Bent creates garments that celebrate culture, history and stories passed down from generations.

Following Maison Bent’s England Football project in 2025, UN Women UK invited the brand to join the UN Women UK Brands Collective. Building on the success and cultural significance of the Queen Nanny Football Shirt design, Maison Bent developed the Queen Nanny Print Capsule Collection in support of UN Women UK.

Inspired by Queen Nanny of the Maroons, one of Jamaica’s seven National Heroes and the only female National Hero, the collection celebrates her extraordinary legacy. A leader of the Jamaican Maroons in the 18th century, Queen Nanny is remembered for her resistance, strategic leadership and commitment to protecting her community. Maison Bent’s signature print brings her story into contemporary fashion through a limited-edition football shirt and 100% silk satin scarf.

The Maison Bent Summer Salon brought together members of the fashion, business and creative industries to celebrate the brand’s journey over six years and introduce the collection. The event also marked the unveiling of the Maison Bent Impact Programme - a long-term initiative designed to create meaningful opportunities for women in the creative industries through mentorship, employment, education and experiences, while continuing to champion sustainability and responsible fashion.

“My ambition is to build a programme that creates real, measurable impact for the next generation of women entering the creative industries. The Impact Programme is my vision for what Maison Bent can become beyond a fashion brand,” said Shanna Bent, Founder and Creative Director of Maison Bent.

Through the Queen Nanny Print Capsule Collection, Maison Bent is proud to be fundraising for UN Women UK, supporting their work to advance gender equality and empower women and girls.
