Sweed Beauty Make-Up Luncheon
What better way to brighten up a Tuesday than by enjoying lunch at London’s Twenty Two Member’s Club, hosted by the fabulous Sweed Beauty? As soon as you step in through the separate side entrance, a charming winding staircase leads you to a softly lit private dining room. Picture this: a long, elegant 25-seat table adorned with delightful Spring floral center-pieces, each place setting thoughtfully equipped with a menu previewing the delectable lunch offerings, a custom Sweed cookie, and scattered makeup samples enhancing the overall charm.
Sweed Beauty, founded by the talented Gabriella Elio, proudly stands as a vegan and animal-friendly makeup brand. Renowned for its groundbreaking eye products, including award-winning mascaras and an eyelash growth serum free from prostaglandins, Sweed captures the essence of cruelty-free beauty.
Drawing upon her extensive experience as a makeup artist, Gabriella ventured into product creation to fill gaps in the market and achieve her signature "no makeup-makeup" style. After extensive research, Sweed emerged, with the collection expanding to include new makeup essentials. Gabriella’s philosophy is simple but powerful: "look like yourself after a 2 weeks' vacation – glowing skin, lush lashes, and full of life."
During the luncheon, Sweed's Distributors shared the brand's journey, revealing that Sweed initially focused on lashes and only recently introduced their captivating colour range. Amidst the delightful courses, Gabriella treated guests to a demonstration of Sweed’s Miracle Powder – a product she describes as the equivalent of "Instagram’s Paris filter for the skin." Versatile enough to be worn alone or as a setting powder over foundation, it imparts a soft glow to the skin with a feather-light touch. Although available in 7 different shades, Gabriella emphasised that the powder is essentially translucent, suitable for a range of complexions.
Seated beside me, a makeup artist raved about Sweed’s "amazing" Lash Lift mascara, highlighting its ability to separate lashes without clumping, thanks to the infusion of Vitamin B5. After a brief trial, I can personally attest that Sweed's lipsticks are equally nourishing, and all their products effortlessly glide on, making them a breeze to apply.
